Heyyyyyy Happy MLK Day!
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
Just to warn you, this post is about nothing of any relevance. It is in fact, a post that just rambles on about nothing.
This weekend went too quickly. I mean, ALL weekends go too quickly, but this one was a blur. Seems like I didn’t really do very much in the way of ‘stuff needing to be done’. We went out for pizza Friday night, drank too much and stayed up too late – The rest of the weekend consisted of sleeping a lot, watching a couple of DVDs and four hours straight of Xena, and eating too much food. So needless to say, the chores on my list have hardly been crossed off. In fact, here’s the “stuff that needed to get done that I actually did”:
- 2 loads of laundry that never made it out of the basket into the drawers.
- Cleaned kitty litter boxes,
- Picked up dog poop.
Yup. That about sums it up.
I did manage to exercise though, just so you don’t think I was a total couch potato. I wasn’t lazy in that way, just in the way that I didn’t do anything constructive.
Stupid thought – whenever I hear that phrase “being constructive”, I think of cutting up construction paper with scissors.
Nevermind.
So I was able to get my ass out of bed Saturday morning and make it to class – which was horribly hard - It’s always hard on Saturday mornings, probably because of Friday nights. When I got home, I filled my belly up with a nice spinach salad. Later on, I snacked on some lite microwavable popcorn. Then, the Saturday night beer drinking commenced which led to the consumption of shit food (i.e. midnight Ho Hos)
In my defense, the weather had a lot to do with my laziness. It was cold and nasty out and the wind was SO STRONG. When it wasn’t raining it was dropping little hail balls. No one feels like doing anything when it’s like that outside.
Sunday I got up around noon and did one of the 30 minute preset programs on the treadmill. It was just full of hills and vales. So many in fact, that I tried to follow the squiggly lines on the picture to see if I could tell what hill or vale I was on but all I ended up doing was make myself want to fall off and puke, so I stopped doing that. Afterwards, I ate a healthy spinach salad for lunch again, then took a nap - a four hour nap. I woke up with that nasty ‘slept too much’ feeling, so naturally, I made a bologna sandwich to feel better and began the Xena marathon.
When dinnertime came, neither Earl nor I wanted to cook so we threw Hungry Man’s “chicken fingers and cheese fries” in the oven. I ate the shit out of the cheese fries but gave the chicken fingers to Earl because they tasted like breaded salt licks. Then around 11:30pm, we had cheese and crackers, and I believe there was a chocolately Ho Ho involved in that somewhere.
See what my problem is? I’m all about health in the morning, and then as the day drags on I fall into the bad girl realm and eat crap.
So there you have it. Wowweee. What a crazy weekend I had. Still, wouldn' t mind doing it all over again instead of being at work today. What did you do on your weekend? No way it was more exciting than mine.
