"THE sky is blue, the grass is green, may we have our Halloween?"
HAPPY HALLOWEEN!!!
And no, I'm not Amish dammit.
Some people got it - others were so far off I was shocked.
I could see if you didnt guess St. Paulie right off the bat, but at the very least, I would hope that "beer wench" comes to mind.
It was a really easy costume to put together. I had the skirt and I had the shirt (which I actually used to think was the hottest thing in the early 90's.) My friend let me borrow the vest and the apron.
I spent $1 on the ribbon for my choker, another $1 for the shoe string to tie up the vest, and the socks were $3.99.
I found the shoes 40% off at Fashion Bug and decided it was a great excuse to buy them - Besides, have you ever seen shoes so "St. Paulie"?? Too cute! Had to have 'em.
And yes, those are real socks you see underneight. I needed them to keep me piddles warm.
So there you have it - Easy and cheap. If I were a man I'd be talking about my women. Since I'm not, I'm talking about my costume.
So I'm all dressed up for Saturday night, and of course we chose to go to the one bar that isn't really doing anything special for Halloween...
And Yes. I'm the only person in costume.
Doesn't bother me any.
I'm having a grand old time.
I think I'm dressed very appropiately for a bar...
Look at me. I'm flaunting it.
What a retard.
Sunday I was a little sad we didn't go somewhere else that was actually having a costume contest, but I found comfort knowing that I still had one more chance to wear it -
And that would be to work today, if I dared...
And I dared.
So here I am sitting at my desk all decked out for the holiday. There are five other people dressed up. One hit woman, two babies, and one guy with a wig. One of use will win Most Original and another will win Best Costume. The prize for each is a $20 gift card to Blockbuster, which really does me no good considering I have Movie Pass... but whatever. I'm not doing it for the fame or fortune. I'm just down with the holiday, is all... Although I would hate to get beat by a bunch of babies. I'll let you know the results.
Today is also Pizza Day at work. After we eat, Hit Woman and I are going to run to the store for no reason at all but to see if anyone notices that we're dressed for a differnt century.
Again - retard.
Now you all have to go over and see Merit's AMAZING and ORIGINAL costume. She is a genius!

Thank you thank you. I just wished they had let me bring my beer with me to work - would have gone great with the pizzas.
AWESOME! Gorgeous, Amy! Just gorgeous!
Can't wait to see you at Thanksgiving!
24 DAYSSSSS JEN-O-RAMONIOUS and we shall finally be reunited!
I definitely would NOT have thought Amish. I wouldn't have gotten St. Paulie's girl either...but I would have thought beer wench from the Hofbrauhaus. Absolutely.
I would have guessed bar wench--great outfit :)
